It's time for OUR FIRST COMPETITION!

Hey everyone! let's get started with our first competition. I think we have enough active members now to give it a shot.

The theme will be:

FANTASTIC KAI FASHIONS - DRAW ANY OF THE KAIS IN A FANTASTIC NEW OUTFIT

Let's face it, the Kai's normal clothes are pretty awful, so let's give them a makeover. You can draw your chosen Kai (or Kais) in something funky, something old-fashined, something alternative / gothic, something modern, something from a designer (Lacroix?) or whatever you feel like as long as it is FANTASTIC!

Competition Guidelines

You may enter a maximum of upto 2 entries

You may enter existing artworks, or draw a new artwork as long as they fit the theme (A Kai in a Fantastic new outfit)

You may draw OC characters who look like Kais (in a fantastic new outfit)

You may have more than 1 character in the shot as long as the main focal point is of a Kai or Kai-style OC character.

Things your entry MUST INCLUDE.

Your Own Artwork - **NB: Artwork must be made and drawn by you personally. (Use of copyrighted images which have not at least been REDRAWN or something by you is not allowed)... I know this is like DUH! but it does need to be mentioned.

A Description about your picture - Please provide a paragraph of text in your deviation description explaining a little bit about the outfit you have chosen and who is wearing it.

Other Stuff.

Entries are open to MEMBERS ONLY. All members INCLUDING club leaders may enter since the final decision is based on vote and not on the leaders' choice.

Entries can be submitted as of now and will be open for a couple of weeks (I will announce a proper date for close of entries a bit later.)

As we receive entries I will place them on the front page journal with the artist's devname and a link, and I will also place them in a special folder in the gallery.

Once entries are closing I will send out a group email with instructions on how to vote for your favourite entries, so don't worry about that bit just yet.

How to Submit your Entry

Please send us a NOTE titled ENTRY containing a LINK to your competition entry artwork.

A maximum of TWO entries per member will be accepted.

WOW! REAL PRIZES!!!!

The WINNER will receive:

1. Featured Artist spot on the front page journal for 5 days (including links to the winner's fave deviations and a short article about the artist) - Please note, as this club is not subscribed, we cannot feature thumbs of deviations, only links.

2. Winning deviation will be displayed for 5 days on the front page journal

3. One custom animated icon made by ~austral-azn

The RUNNER-UP will receive:

1. Runner-up deviation will be displayed for 5 days on the front page journal (after the winner's one)

2. One custom animated icon made by ~austral-azn

*** I would be keen to hear from anyone else who would like to volunteer as a "prize maker" for the winners of our first competition. I will be offering custom avatars for the winner and runner-up, however the more prizes we can scare up, the better!

Prize suggestions (all art based) could be stamps, chibis, lineart of the winners' OCs, small flash animations, coloured digital artworks of the winners' OCs, fanfics about the winners' OCs, photomanipulations or basically whatever your speciality is. So give it some thought and if you feel like volunteering something, please send me a note and let me know. (No pressure ok.)

Help fill our Gallery - I am still keen to get as many new deviations in the members gallery as possible, so if members have Kai artworks which have not yet been put in the gallery, it would be great if you could send me (via NOTE) either LINKS to your Kai works or PERMISSION to raid your galleries for Kai works. All gallery deviations will be linked back to your originals and have your icon on the page.
